Procurement and Installation

Procurement

With demonstrated financial stability, our company has tremendous buying capabilities with equipment suppliers. Solar materials vendors recognize the importance of the roofing industry to their success.  As a result, we have excellent relationships with some of the leading module and inverter manufacturers in the industry and can negotiate prices other solar companies can’t match.

Installation

The roof underneath a solar PV system is just as important as the system itself. Since a solar installation has a useful life of 20-25 years, the roof must have a lifespan to match. Our roof experts will ensure that the system is installed safely and efficiently without compromising the integrity or warranty of your roof.  We install systems with our own professional installation crews handling the site preparation, racking, as well as panel installation.

Basics of a Solar PV System

  • Utility Grid - the network of distribution wires used by the local utility company
  • Solar Modules – converts sunlight into electricity
  • Inverters - changes the direct current (DC) produced by the modules to an alternating current (AC) used in homes and buildings
  • Electrical Room (Panels) - central point for all fuses and breakers that distributes electricity to the facility
  • Utility Net Meter - measures the flow of electricity between the facility and the grid
  • Monitoring Software - tracks the performance of the solar system and can be aligned with other efficiency and controlling software used for energy management

GreenWise
Solar panels operate most efficiently at 80° F. A green roof will lower the ambient temperature even on the hottest days, making the solar panels work more efficiently.
